Golf on the equator might not immediately strike everyone as a feasible possibility, but at 4000 feet above sea level, on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, with greens watered from a nearby freshwater lake and views of flamingos from the 18th hole is certainly some of the most exciting 'safari golf' possible to find.

Top class golf courses are to be found near to the city, on the slopes of Mount Kenya or by the shores of the Indian Ocean. Playing these courses can be certainly invigorating and moving between them can be quite exciting too.

And, due to its situation on the equator, golfing in Kenya is an all-year-round affair.
